EM-12501
The wear-resistant entropy alloy EM-12501 is a Be-free, Pb-free, non-toxic, high-strength copper-rich alloy with a high hardness of HV200 and excellent properties such as high wear resistance, high corrosion resistance, and high oxidation resistance. Applied to gear bushing wear-resistant parts, the unique beryllium-free and lead-free patented formula will not cause harm or pollution to operators and the environment like lead-containing or beryllium-containing on copper alloys. EM-12501 is a new generation alloy that is in line with our sustainable business philosophy.

About High Entropy
High entropy alloys are a new field of materials in the 21st century, pioneered by Professor Jien-Wei Yeh and Professor Su-Jien Lin, founders of High Entropy Materials, Inc., and their team at National Tsing Hua University.
In 2016, Nature magazine conducted a special report on high-entropy alloys, confirming the invention of high-entropy alloys and the fact that Taiwan is the birthplace of high-entropy alloys.
In 2018, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education of Taiwan jointly established the world’s first “High Entropy Materials Center” at National Tsing Hua University.
In 2020, the high entropy team applied for the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Value Creation Program, with the goal of establishing a company to commercialize high entropy alloys and related technologies and promote them to the industry and market.
In 2021, High Entropy Materials, Inc. was approved for establishment and is the first high entropy material overall solution provider in Taiwan.
The new startup is to be a “provider of total solutions for advanced high-entropy alloy materials” and to position itself as a one-stop operating platform to assist the industry and the market in solving the problems faced in material research and development, manufacturing and application, and to contribute to the establishment of a unique high-entropy material-related industry in Taiwan. The products made of new high-entropy alloy material have their low-carbon-emission, energy-saving, non-toxic and healthy nature, it has stronger properties and functions such as toughness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, temperature resistance and low cost. It can replace imported key materials, enhance industry autonomy, increase competitiveness and benefit the people.
