OTM Group entered the Asian market in the 1970s. In 1975, the Group entered China, becoming a leading force in promoting and facilitating the development of freight transportation for trade between Italy and China. Following China's reform and opening-up and the continuous expansion of its international trade market, OTM Group established representative offices and branches in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen to further promote and enhance its freight forwarding services. In 2001, OTM Group became the first Italian company to establish a representative office in Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
