Externally, the association assists Taiwanese businesses in enhancing their competitiveness, expanding markets, fostering trade, promoting investment, protecting their interests, and enhancing their economic and trade status. Taiwanese businesses have shown strong support for the establishment of the "Taiwan-Africa Economic and Trade Association," and with the active assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Bureau of Foreign Trade, and other public and trade organizations, the official founding ceremony was held on January 5, 2007. Currently, the association has over 120 members.
