Company Profile

Established on June 25, 1946, the association's first president was Mr. Huang Hsin-huo. The current president is Mr. Kuo Ming-chin, serving in the 18th term, while the third president was Mr. Kao Yu-shu, who also served as the Mayor of Taipei City. Through the dedicated efforts of successive presidents, the association has built a strong foundation. Emphasizing ethics and a commitment to public welfare, the association has become a model social organization recognized by the government and serves as a platform for national and international hardware industry communications.


Currently, the association has 19 board members, 5 supervisors, and 300 member companies, having been established for 74 years.


Key Activities and Initiatives


Important activities and projects include:


Publishing the Hardware Newsletter twice a year.
Awarding scholarships in the names of Mr. Chen Pan-ying and Mr. Chen Bao-quan.
Organizing charitable donations, mountain hiking events, and one-day tours for the benefit of all members.
The board members and supervisors also participate in Southeast Asian networking events, maintaining strong communication channels with overseas hardware industry professionals. This facilitates better marketing of products and enhances the industry's international competitiveness. Regular delegations visit the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and other Southeast Asian countries to engage with local businesses, providing business opportunities and information to domestic manufacturers. To strengthen international trade relations, the association maintains close ties with organizations such as the Philippine Iron Traders Association, the Singapore Hardware Machinery Association, the Malaysia Hardware and Building Materials Dealers Association, the Siam Hardware Association of Thailand, and the Hong Kong Hardware & Metal Merchants Association, including establishing sister and brother associations. These efforts contribute not only to economic growth but also to national diplomacy.
